Extol the Name

Psalm 68:4, in the King James translation says:

“Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name JAH, and rejoice before him.”

The 1611 version of the same text identified the Creator by the name “Iah” – as still used today in many scriptural names such as isaiah, jeremiah, etc. View older translation. The newer King James Version restores the Hebraic version of the name “YAH“–but only in that verse. There are several other places in the text where the name of our Creator appeared, but translators use “the LORD” instead of His Name! How can we truly extol His Name if we do not speak it? How can we speak it if it is hidden?

The same version of the Name appearing in verse 18 is translated as “the LORD“. The full Name of the Creator appears in the same Psalm 68, eight (8) times and on each other occasion in the English translation is replaced with “the LORD.”

Have you every seen documentation of the evolution of the script used by the Semitic peoples? Very early forms of writing used the script known today as Pictographic Hebrew. What’s so phenomenal about this script is that it reveals the plan of YAH to save His people through the sacrificial offering of His Son 𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤔𐤅𐤏.

Whereas English is read from left to right, Hebrew is read from right to left. Some people use Yahweh and Jehovah to identify the Father, thereby substituting “J” for “Y” and “W” for “U.” Others use Yehovah, substituting “V” for “U”.
